Message From the Chairman of the Board
Dear Friends,
We set off for our journey with only two carpet weaving looms in a small workshop in Gaziantep, under the leadership of our Honorary President, our late father Mehmet Erdemoğlu, in 1970. Today, we are happy to be a holding that operates successfully both in our beautiful homeland and in nearly 100 countries throughout the world.
In the light of the principles of the late Mehmet Erdemoğlu, our Honorary President, which have always guided us, and thanks to the outstanding efforts, labor, and devotion of our esteemed colleagues, we have succeeded in becoming a worldwide export champion with many of our companies in different sectors by crossing the borders of the country.
These levels that we reached were the levels we planned and targeted when we set off. Nevertheless, we never consider these levels sufficient. We at all times aim forward because if we see our situation as sufficient, we stop, and if we stop, we step back, even failing to safeguard our current position. We are aware that pausing has no place in the rapidly changing and developing world.
We will endeavor more and we will work harder without getting tired and resting, with the inspiration we get from the words of Great Leader Veteran Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, “Those who set off not to rest never get tired” and “People who make it a habit to seek ways of living comfortably without working, learning, and getting tired are condemned to lose first their dignity, then their freedom, and then their future.”
We have taken people as the basis of our values on this path we are walking and we have not distinguished them as the people of the east-west or north-south. We valued human beings because they are human beings, without taking religion, language, or race into account. We will never give up on this core value of ours.
