Artificial intelligence leap from SASA: it applied for membership to ZEKI

SASA, which has applied for membership to ZEKI, one of the world's leading artificial intelligence research centers, plans to make use of artificial intelligence in both production and management processes.

SASA, Turkey's leading polyester manufacturer, has applied for membership to ZEKI (Zentrum für erlebbare Künstliche Intelligenz und Digitalisierung), the Experienceable Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization Research Center operating in Berlin, in order to make use of artificial intelligence in all its systems and processes.
The ZEKI delegation, led by scientist Prof. Dr. Şahin Albayrak, who is also the founder of the center, visited SASA's facilities in Adana and received information about the production and management processes.
In January, the SASA delegation led by İbrahim Erdemoğlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors, visited ZEKI in Berlin and took the first step of the process. During his visit to Adana, Prof. Albayrak was accompanied by a team of scientists working in different fields at the center. The delegation that toured the entire facility, including SASA's new investment of PTA facilities, was informed about the production processes in different areas.
SASA - ZEKI collaboration
With the protocol signed by İbrahim Erdemoğlu and Prof. Şahin Albayrak following the visit, SASA applied to become a member of the center in Berlin. ZEKI, of which Germany's world-renowned companies and public institutions are also members, focuses on concrete applications of artificial intelligence in daily life.

Within the framework of its collaboration with ZEKI, SASA plans to implement artificial intelligence applications in many areas, from increasing efficiency in production processes to perfecting the conditions of its employees, in the forthcoming years. The company will also work on the digital security of production processes that are currently based on automation to a large extent.

“We will continue to be a banner-bearer”

Making a statement on the subject, İbrahim Erdemoğlu, SASA Chairman of the Board of Directors, expressed that SASA uses the world's most advanced production technologies and processes in its field, and that the PTA facility, which will be put into service in the forthcoming period, is the best example of it. Erdemoğlu continued as follows: “With our collaboration with ZEKI, we plan to fully digitalize our systems and processes and benefit from artificial intelligence in all possible areas. In this way, we will be able to allocate more resources to innovation while increasing our production efficiency to the highest possible level. In the future, SASA will continue to invest in innovation and continuous development as it has done so far."
