In light of our Environmental Policy, we are committed to reducing our consumption by adopting the sustainable and efficient use of water, energy, raw material, chemical, etc resource consumption during our activities, resources sustainably and efficiently in our operations, and to prevent our activities from generating waste in line with the principles of the circular economy while applying clean production technologies and the best practices available.
Our facility has the Zero Waste Certificate within the scope of the Zero Waste Project. Considering the product life-cycle in our processes, policies are primarily applied to reduce the waste produced in our facility, to separate it at the source and to reuse it. Industrial hazardous and non-hazardous wastes are generated in our facility. The generated hazardous wastes are collected in the hazardous waste temporary storage area authorized by the Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, and sent to licensed facilities via the MOTAT (mobile waste tracking) system with licensed vehicles and drivers. Non-hazardous wastes are collected in the non-hazardous waste temporary storage area and transferred to licensed facilities. Our business operations experts and operators take part in the management of these processes. Nearly 100% of our hazardous and non-hazardous wastes generated in our factory are recycled by licensed facilities such as plastic, wood, metal, batteries, oil, RDF (refuse-derived fuel), and so on. The leftovers from the cafeterias are sent to the feeding points for stray animals in order to prevent waste.
One of the subjects included in our environmental permit and license document is the co-incineration. Energy gain is obtained through the incineration of the production residue formed in one of our enterprises along with natural gas in a closed system. Thus, a reduction is achieved in the use of natural resources, as well.
