PET resin is a polymer manufactured from terephthalic acid (PTA), isophthalic acid (IPA) and ethylene glycol (EG) raw materials.
SASA included the bottle-type PET Resin product group in its portfolio with the new MTR (Melt to Resin) facility with a capacity of 315 kt/year, commissioned in 2020. Thanks to the MTR technology, unlike the traditional two-stage method, bottle-type PET Resin manufacturing obtains a high viscosity product at the desired level with a single-stage process.
